CheckLockTM Fraud Protection is granted to Intuit customers who purchased preprinted checks from Intuit on or after December 10th, 2010 and are authorized to draw funds from legitimate bank accounts preprinted on Intuit checks.
CheckLockTM Fraud Protection applies to pre-printed checks and is not offered, applicable or available to residents of the states of New York and Massachusetts.
CheckLockTM Fraud Protection is provided for a period of 12 months from customer’s preprinted check order date.
1FREE replacement and overnight delivery of compromised checks and other impacted supplies, such as deposit slips and endorsement stamps.
  • If your pre-printed checks or financial supplies are lost or stolen your account may be compromised and you need to notify your bank both orally and in writing. Immediately close compromised checking account and any connecting financial accounts. Request a Stop Payment be placed on stolen check number/s.
  • Call one of our agents, report your case and your new bank account information.
  • Our agents will process your order for new checks, deposit slips and endorsement stamps free of charge and expedite delivery so that you can continue to operate your business with no disruption.
  • 2Check Fraud Resolution Assistance Service Guarantee – If check fraud resulted from counterfeiting, altering, forging or copying Intuit CheckLockTM checks or omissions, defects, or errors by Intuit, we will provide you with expert help in navigating the complex process of check fraud resolution for a period of 12 months from your purchase of Intuit CheckLockTM checks.
  • You will need to file a Police Report, as required by law, and follow instructions so we can best assist you.
  • Check fraud events for which this service guarantee may be requested include:
  • Counterfeit – Intuit CheckLockTM checks that have been fraudulently reproduced copied or printed to benefit the perpetrator.
  • Altered or Modified Checks – printed information on a legitimate Intuit CheckLockTM check, such as payee or check amount,
    changed to benefit the perpetrator without the approval of the accountholder.
  • Copying- a legitimate Intuit CheckLockTM check is replicated and deposited more than once.
  • Failures or defects of Intuit checks or services:
  • Accepting illegitimate orders – Intuit accepted an order for your checks from an illegitimate party.
  • False issuance – Intuit issued checks to a nonexistent or incorrect party.
  • Intuit cross-shipment of your order to the wrong address.
  • Security breach at Intuit resulting in fraud.
  • Check fraud events that are not covered by the service guarantee:
  • Forged Signatures or Endorsements – legitimate Intuit CheckLockTM completed checks forged with an authorized signature or are endorsed and cashed by someone other than the designated payee.
  • Theft of Completed Checks –Intuit CheckLockTM check is cashed or deposited by an unauthorized party.
  • Check kiting – depositing an Intuit CheckLockTM check from one bank account to a second bank account without the sufficient funds to cover it.
  • Duplicate presentment - the same Intuit CheckLockTM check is presented for deposit at different locations.
  • This guarantee covers cost of Intuit fraud resolution agents to help restore you to the pre-fraud state. Intuit will spend up to $5,000 per customer to provide the expert help you need.
  • This guarantee does not cover your direct or indirect losses resulting from fraud or theft i.e. stolen funds, lost wages, attorney fees/legal costs, business profits, or bank fees. Under this service guarantee Intuit will not make any payments to you for any reason. This service guarantee is not an insurance coverage and Intuit is not an insurance company.
