You now see two lines of buttons with formatting and other options above the business card.
• First click on the text in the image that you wish to format or reposition; hold the Shift key down while you click to select more than one text box. Once you select a text box, you can use your mouse to move or resize it.
• The first two buttons on the top row allow you to Save your work for later. Choose the second, Save As… if you need to rename this version of your work.
• The rest of the options in the top row are for formatting the text on the business card. Now you can apply formatting changes such as font style, color, and size; how you want the text to be positioned within the text box; bold or italics treatment; bulleted or numbered lists; and adding special characters.
• If you wish to Add an Image or another Text Box, use the buttons in the second row.
• Align and Rotate buttons let you change the orientation of your text or images.
• Use the magnifying glasses to zoom in or out, and the Undo or Redo buttons if you’ve made changes you need to revert or apply again.
• Just above the business card image, are two tabs for View Mode: Standard, which is the default, or Detail Zoom. Click the Detail Zoom to view the design at high magnification. Drag the blue box on the left to select the area of the card you’d like to zoom in on.
• If you wish to change the colors used on the card design, click the Change Color Scheme link in the bottom left corner of the screen to view additional color palettes.

Select Options

After approving the final design for your Premium Business Cards, you then select options for Quantity, Paper Stock, Back Side, and Matching Products.

After each step, click Next to continue, or Save for Later. Note that if you decide to save the project for later, the document will be saved and accessible from your My Account page on this website.

1. Quantity: Select the quantity you need. Note that the price per card goes down with larger orders, so be sure to stock up.

2. Paper Stock: Choose between Matte or Glossy Finish, or 100-lb. Premium Matte Paper.

Matte finish paper has a dull coating applied to the paper surface that yields a non-shiny, smooth finish that is superior for color contrast and text clarity. Matte finish paper is typically chosen for its unique combination of smooth texture, easy readability, and bold contrast qualities. Glossy finish paper has a high gloss coating applied to the paper surface that yields a smooth, shiny finish, vivid colors, vibrant images and excellent reproduction. Glossy is best used on full color designs that have bright solid colors, photographs or bold patterns.

3. Back Side: Many professionals choose to use the backside of their business card as appointment reminders or for company taglines or additional messaging. Click View Larger/Edit to enlarge and add or edit text as needed.

4. Matching: On this tab we suggest other products that use the same design and company information that you’ve already entered. Without having to go through the design process again, you can order fully customized products for your business.

Click Next on the Matching tab to put the Premium Business Cards and any matching products you’ve selected in your shopping cart.

Upload Your Own Design

There are three steps to uploading your own design: Prepare Files, Upload Files, and Preview.

1. Prepare Files: First choose whether your design is horizontal or vertical layout, then review the specifications carefully. We recommend that you download our design template to ensure that your dimensions, resolution and color settings match ours. If you’ve already created a design, make any adjustments needed to meet our specifications before uploading.

2. Upload Files: Browse your computer’s files for the design you wish to upload for the front of your business card, or if you’ve previously saved a file and wish to re-use it, use the Click here to use a previously uploaded file link. If we detect problems with your image, we will inform you of suggested changes, which you can make and then Re-upload, or click Continue Without Any Changes to accept as is. If you wish to upload a design for the back of your business card, you can go through the upload steps again, or select Blank. No Upload. and click Continue.

3. Preview: Here you can see a larger version of your business cards, Re-Upload if the design doesn’t look the way you want, and Name Your Document. If you are completely satisfied with how the business card looks, then enter your initials in the Online Proof Approval box and click Continue.

Or if you’d like to add images or text to your design, select the Add additional text or images to my document to open the Advanced Editing options. For help with Advanced Editing, see Help Center>>Customize Your Premium Business Cards

After you’ve finished uploading and approved your design, you will then be able to view additional options for Quantity, Paper Stock, Back Side, and Matching Products

What are the color choices for my business cards?

When you upload your own design, there are no limits on color choices. Your document should be created in CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) mode, the colors used in the printing process so that the colors will match the final printed product. Note that JPEG files are almost always in RGB (Red, Green and Blue), the colors used by screen displays such as your monitor. If you create your document in RGB, the colors in your printed product may vary slightly. Many of the bright values produced by your monitor cannot be reproduced in print.

If you use one of our design templates, you may customize the ink color by choosing the Advanced Editing option, clicking on the text in the image, and opening the Font Color menu option and choosing any CMYK combination.

Are there any fees associated with color printing?

There is no charge for color printing your logo and other artwork on business cards. For complete design specifications, review the information on the product page.

Why do certain colors look different after they’re printed?

The ink-jet and color laser printers used in many home offices and small businesses employ widely different methods of printing color documents, making it impossible to calibrate them well for high-end color printing.

Other factors can also affect the colors you see in the final printed materials, compared with those produced on your own printer. Weather affects how the ink dries on the paper, which can slightly change the color. The brightness of the paper delivered from the mill can alter the color, as can the ink density, on-press fluctuations, and printing system idiosyncrasies.

Through a rigid quality control process, we maintain very high standards for color correction and color consistency to minimize color variations, especially within a single product order.
