Q: Who are Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors?
A: Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors are independent CPAs, accountants, bookkeepers, computer consultants and trainers who work with small businesses and who have completed a rigorous and comprehensive QuickBooks curriculum developed by Intuit. They understand the challenges you face and can offer guidance on everything from complex accounting questions and payroll interpretation to mastering advanced features of QuickBooks.
Q: Can Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors give me free advice?
A: Each Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor has his/her own policy. Some may answer a question or two for you on the phone if they plan on building a long-term business relationship with you. Others may not choose to answer questions for you unless you plan to meet with them. The QuickBooks Find-a-ProAdvisor® Website is meant to be a resource for QuickBooks users like yourself to easily find a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, who specializes in QuickBooks, to serve you for the long term. It is not intended to be a resource for free advice.
Q: How are the results sorted? Do ProAdvisors pay for placement?
A: We do not allow paid placement with the QuickBooks Find-a-ProAdvisor® Website. Here is how we sort the results
- Any Advanced Certified ProAdvisors within the range selected, sorted by distance
- ProAdvisors certified in the most recent version of QuickBooks, sorted by distance
- If more than one ProAdvisor is tied on distance, and both certified in the most recent version of QuickBooks, they will then be sorted according to the greatest number of previous certifications.
Q: What are the average rates for QuickBooks services?
A: Intuit conducts an unscientific straw poll each year on what QuickBooks experts seem to be charging for various QuickBooks services. We can share these figures with you, rough though they may be, to give you a ballpark idea so that you are more confident in contacting a ProAdvisor. Click here to view the results of our straw poll.
